Senator James Lankford (R-OK) was part of a bipartisan group that negotiated an immigration bill that President Biden was ready to sign. When Trump said he didn’t want the problem solved, Lankford got thrown under the bus by his own party.
What was Ben Cline doing? Managing a performative impeachment of Secretary of Homeland Security that everyone knew the Senate would reject as frivolous, because it did not rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. And petulantly refusing to support the Senate Bill, which he declared terrible and pro-illegal immigration before he even saw it.
